Oriental Mindoro Rep. Doy Leachon to get some rest after losing gubernatorial bid

0

Oriental Mindoro Rep. Doy Leachon suffered his first electoral loss in 17 years with his unsuccessful bid for the gubernatorial post.

But Leachon said he has accepted the results.

In a Facebook post, he shared that his years in public service had been the best years of his life as he had given his all to serve the people.

He has also achieved a lot, including being awarded one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) of the Philippines in the field of Public Service.

Now, a new chapter of his life is unfolding.

Leachon said he does not resent the results of the elections, although he had wished for victory.

He now plans to take some much needed rest and spend time with his family, he said.

He congratulated the winners and hoped that the people of Mindoro get the kind of public service they deserve.

He will continue dreaming of a better life for the province, he added.

As I said once, those are best years yet of my life.

PERFORMANCE

ay maaaring kalabisan, hanggang mabigyan ng parangal bilang isa sa Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) of the Philippines in the field of Public Service, pero kalabisan man ito kung ituturing, hayaan nyo po itong mga bagay na ito ang maging paraang alaala bilang ganti ng pagtanaw ng utang ng loob at pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga mandatong inyong bigay, sa pagmamahal nyo sa akin, higit sa lahat.

As to the outcome of the elections yesterday, I have no resentment whatsoever. Of course, who would deny that we’ve been all wanting victory. But the day I decided to go on this gubernatorial race, I’m ready to win, including embracing the contrasting fate. If it turned the other way we wanted it, I must be submissive “It’s definitely God’s design”. As to whether there’s machination impressing statistically improbability is not a concern.

For now– We will all take a much needed rest muna. That’s the number One business of the day. Reunion with the family that I’ve been terribly missing so much in years.

As we congratulate the victors, I pray that Mindoreños will be given the utmost service they deserve. Nothing less.

As for me, as life is always a journey, we again determine what’s best that’s awaiting still this beautiful life graciously given unto us by the One Above. I’m thankful still.
