Tony Leachon vouches for son Or. Min. BM Mikan Leachon after he fails to get INC nod

Medical expert Tony Leachon has vouched for his son Oriental Mindoro Board Member Mikan Leachon after the young politiko failed to get the backing of the religious sect Iglesia ni Cristo.

Tony said his son Mikan is a fighter, even as a baby when he fought for his life after being born prematurely at seven months.

Mikan is the only one among his children who did not go into the medical profession because he opted for public service, he said.

He said Mikan is compassionate and always ready to help the people.

He is staying in Calapan for work and has to away from his family.

The father said it was heartbreaking for the family to hear that Mikan did not get the INC endorsement, and he feels his son’s pain.

The INC endorsed other bets without undertaking a rigid selection process that took into account integrity, competence vision and moral courage, he said.

But he said he has come to terms with the decision.

The voters will decide on May 9, and he believes the Lord will favor the good and the hardworking people, he said.

“Si BM Mikan Leachon , incumbent Provincial Board member of first district of Or. Mindoro ay pinanganak na kulang sa buwan – July 8 , 1989 sa Manila Doctors Hospital.

Premature baby 7 months.

3 pounds Lang. Agaw buhay.

3 months sa incubator sa Manila Doctors Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Binantayan at Naka survive. Mahirap – Pero lumaban siya. Siya Lang ang hindi nag doctor sa mga anak ko.

Ang Pangarap na buhay ni Mikan ay maglingkod sa Bayan.

Abunado pa.

~ we help him in his lofty dreams. Maawain at matulungin.

Mag isa sa Calapan – away from family. He rarely sees wife Pia and baby Simmy.

To hear that INC last week did not carry him – it was heart breaking for us. I am his dad. I could feel his pain.

They gave endorsement and potential votes to other candidates without undergoing rigid selection process – integrity , competence , vision and moral courage. I have accepted it. Chill Lang. That’s the way it is. But bloc voting shatters dreams of worthy candidates not only in local but also in the national level.

But that’s okay. The people will decide on Monday May 9. I can live with failures but God in my heart, favors the good and the hardworking people.

Thanks for listening,” Tony posted.
