Don’t sell out Mother Nature for P500, Brooke’s Point mayoralty bet Maryjean Feliciano asks residents
Natural resources are worth a lot more than P500.
Brooke’s Point vice mayoralty candidate Maryjean Feliciano has appealed to residents of the town to protect its watershed which is the source of clean water.
Feliciano, who was suspended as Brooke’s Point mayor in connection with her opposition to mining operations, urged the people of the town to think about more than themselves.
She said they should not be blinded by an offer of P500 or more in exchange for selling out the town’s natural resources and the future of its people, she said.
Mother Nature is priceless!
