Legazpi Mayor Noel Rosal says IATF allows lenten processions to resume

Legazpi could soon resume one of its lenten traditions, according to Mayor Noel Rosal.

In a Facebook post, Rosal said the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has granted the city’s request to hold lenten processions in April.

The mayor said Legazpi has complied with all requirements to be placed under alert level 1, the most relaxed level.

But he also said participants in the lenten procession would have to comply with health protocols such as the wearing of masks.

The old traditions are back!

“Just in … due to our appeal that legazpi city is now compliant of all the requirements for alert level 1 … Usec Densing of IATF already granted our request to hold lenten processions this april 2022 … subject to minimum health standards ..specially wearing of mask … keep safe,” Rosal posted.
