12 new COVID-19 cases reported in Bicol

The Department of Health reported 12 new COVID-19 cases in Bicol, pushing the region’s total to 58,779.

Active cases are now 4,815 as of February 19 or about 8.19% of the total cases.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

ALBAY: 1 (8.33%)
1 – Bacacay

CAM SUR: 9 (75%)
5 – Nabua
1 – Cabusao
1 – Libmanan
1 – Lagonoy
1 – Magarao

SORSOGON: 2 (16.67%)
1 – Castilla
1 – Sorsogon City

The DOH said that the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

The department meanwhile logged 188 recoveries. Total number of recoveries rose to 51,884.

Death toll remains at 2,120.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
