Suspended Brooke’s Point Mayor Maryjean Feliciano happy that her story to defend the environment is being told

POLITIKO - The bible of Philippine Politics.
Maryjean Feliciano got suspended as Brooke’s Point Mayor because of her efforts to oppose a mining operation.
And Feliciano is happy that her crusade to protect the environment is being told.
In a Facebook post, Feliciano shared a link to the feature about her and thanked Keith Anthony Fabro for telling her story to the world.
The story let people know that leaders who defend and protect the fragile and biodiverse environment are penalized, she said.
Her experience taught her that business interests are above people’s well-being, she said.
Maybe people can learn from what she went through!
“Thank you Keith Anthony Fabro for telling my story in the whole world and let people know that in our country, leaders who defend and protect our fragile and biodiverse environment are prosecuted and penalized. In law school, we were taught that the ‘general welfare is the supreme law’ but with my suspension, i’ve learned(the hard way) that business interest is over and above the people’s wellbeing,” Feliciano posted.
