Iriga Mayor Madel Alfelor says aid distribution to elderly shouldn’t be politicized

The distribution of the government’s cash assistance for the elderly need not be a political event, according to Iriga Mayor Madel Alfelor.
In a Facebook post, Alfelor said that when the payout is distributed to senior citizens in Iriga, there are no politicians or candidates present.
The envelope containing the money does not bear the name of any candidate either, she said.
She is just wondering why there are envelopes containing government assistance that bear the faces of three candidates.
Isn’t this prohibited, she asked.
