Bichara leads medical, dental mission in Banquerohan


Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara spent his Valentine’s Day in leading the dental and optical mission in several barangays.

Bichara was joined by the Provincial Health Office (PHO) headed by PGDH Officer-in-Charge Dr. Estela B. Zenit and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) headed by PGDH Dr. Eva Grageda.

The barangay beneficiaries of the missions were Banquerohan, Cagbacong, Bariis, San Francisco, Buenavista, and Imalnod.

In an interview by Albay PIO, the beneficiaries said that they were relieved of the health and social services provided by the two departments.

Gemma Ajero, 49, Lilia Botalon, 76, and Zenaida Ayque, 73, all Barangay 66 Banquerohan complained about their body aches and optical defects.

Another beneficiary, Glenda Bien, 60, also of Barangay Banquerohan, received free dental and optical services. While accompanied by her son, Jay Bien, who also came for his medical check-up on his goiter.

Regine Bernal, of Barangay San Francisco, a mother, brought her two-month-old baby, Ayla Reign for a check-up as she had a cold, after the check-up, they were given free medicines.

Bichara also distributed thousands of cookies, chocolate flowers, and bags for the kids and senior citizens to cheer the attendees including the PWDs.
