Vice President Leni Robredo has paid tribute to her late father-in-law on his death anniversary.
“Remembering my father-in-law, Jose, on his Death Anniversary today. I am posting a picture taken the day after my girls and I got out of quarantine in early January,” said the Vice President.
Robredo said she and her daughters visited the house of her in-laws to visit her sister-in-law, Jeanne, early this month after they were not able to spend the holidays.
“It was a pleasant surprise to see the bed my father-in-law built for Jesse and me when we were newly married and still living with them,” said VP Leni.
“The bed is 35 years old and it is a testament to the industry and ingenuity of my father-in-law, who, despite being blind, was a topnotch carpenter, mechanic, and many other things we all aspire to become,” she said.
“Gaile, this became your bed when we moved. Still your bed whenever you’re in Naga,” she added.
