VG Lagman lauds SPA members in his year-end assessment

Vice Governor Edcel Grex Lagman has thanked the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Albay for their more than two years of service to the public.

“As the Presiding Officer of the SPA, I thank all the members of my excellent team for an amazing two and a half (2 1/2) years of continuous hard work and solid teamwork. Let’s build on what we have achieved and up the ante in 2022,” said the Vice Governor in his year-end assessment.

“This year-end assessment is meaningful because we have exceeded our goals and targets. Groundbreaking ordinances were passed. Some of these important pieces of legislation will surely blaze the trail and pave the way for the other sanggunians to follow—-both within and outside Albay,” he said.

Lagman said that when he committed in the SPA’s inaugural session in July 2019 that the SPA will be the “model provincial council” in the region, he truly meant it.

“And i knew it can be done because of the SPA’s composition,” he said.

Lagman also thanked 1D Board Members Rey Bragais, Vic Ziga, Jr and Glenda Ong Bongao; 2D Board Members Atty. Melissa Arias Abadeza, Neil Luna Montallana and Raul Rosal; 3D Board Members Eva Ribaya, Dante Arandia, Senior Board Member Jesus “Jesap” Salceda and Howard Imperial. Shout out as well to the SPA’s three (3) Ex-Officio Board Members ABC-Albay President JP Lee, PCL-Albay President Jesciel Richard Salceda and SK Federation President of Albay Eboy Go.

He also recognized SPA secretary Ms. Ging Tolarba Magdamit for ger service.

“There’s so much more to be done. As this year comes to a close, let’s be reminded to never rest on our laurels. We’re only as good as our performance for 2021,” said Lagman.

“Let’s look at 2022 as another year to prove that we can be more consistent and more relentless in our pursuit of excellence in undertaking a very important facet of governance—-the business of local legislation,” he added.
