Gov. Bichara lifts border control in Albay
Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara has recently ordered the lifting of checkpoints and border control in the province.
“All checkpoints/border control manned by the Philippine National Police within the Province of Albay are hereby lifted,” Bichara’s Executive Order 35 read.
Nevertheless, the order said that reasonable restrictions may still be imposed by the local government units of destination.
But such restrictions should not be stricter as those prescribed under higher alert levels and subject to the oversight, monitoring, and evaluation of their respective BIATF.
“Should any part of this executive order be declared unconstitutional or invalid by proper authority, other provision herein which are not affected shall continue to be in full force and effect,” the EO read.
“All orders, rules and regulations which are inconsistent with any of the provisions of this Order are hereby repealed, superseded or modified accordingly,” it added.
The order takes effect upon approval and shall remain in effect until lifted.
