Occidental Mindoro Rep. Josephine Ramirez-Sato has been pushing for strengthening the law against wildlife trade.

Sato stressed that the illegal wildlife trade is not just a simple crime as it is now considered as organized transnational crime.

Sato’s bill seeks to impose higher penalty for those involved in illegal wildlife trade.
