As he recently marked World Diabetes Day, Odiongan Vice Mayor Diven Dimaala shared tips that people could follow to prevent this disease or to help live with it.

In a Facebook post, Dimaala said people should eat less rice, meat, and bread, and more vegetables and fish.

They should also exercise more and lessen smoking.

3-in-1 coffee drinks and softdrinks should also be avoided, he said.

Moreover, people should make sure they get eight hours of sleep a day.

Living with diabetes isn’t easy, but following these habits could make people healthier!

“Less rice, more gulay, more fish,less meat, more exercise, no yosi, less alcohol, less bread, no 3n1 coffee, no softdrinks, 8 hrs sleep, REPEAT,” Dimaala posted.
