VG Lagman says Albay’s budget will result in responsive governance
Vice Governor Edcel Grex Lagman assured that the budget passed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan will result in a responsive governance for a better Albay.
Lagman said that the SPA was the first among the six provinces in Region V to pass its annual budget for Fiscal Year 2022 on October 27.
“Su mga appropriations ta for agriculture, health, social services and infrastructure took center stage,” said the vice governor.
The budget has need signed by Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara. The same will be transmitted to the Department of Finance (DOF).
“Padaba ming Albay, the SPA is committed to make the budgetary process work for you. The same was assiduously prepared by our local chief executive Governor Al Bichara and his fiscal team,” Lagman said.
“Then the SPA exercised its sound budgetary and legislative discretion to fine tune and pass the same forthwith,” he added.
He also assured that the healthy and mutually reinforcing executive-legislative dynamic will ensure that Albay’s annual budget will be “representative of our common aspirations.”
“We are also confident that our annual budget will result in more responsive governance for a better Albay to benefit all Albayanos,” he added.
