DOH records 168 new COVID-19 infections in Bicol

The Department of Health has logged 168 new COVID-19 infections in Bicol, pushing the region’s total to 43,863.

Active cases as of October 25 are now at 11,236 or about 25% of the total registered cases.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

The department also registered 574 new COVID-19 recoveries, to bring the total to 31,217.

Death toll climbed to 1,410 after the DOH logged 14 new fatalities.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
