Occidental Mindoro Rep. Josephine Ramirez Sato said that her bill seeking to establish an economic zone in Paluan has been approved at the House of Representatives.

An Act Establishing a Special Economic Zone in the Municipality of Paluan, Province of Occidental Mindoro, Creating for the Purpose the Paluan Special Economic Zone Authority, and Appropriating Funds Therefor,” said the lawmaker’s office.

Just last week, Sato’s HB 10109 or An Act Establishing a Special Economic Zone in the Municipalities of San Jose and Magsaysay, Province of Occidental Mindoro, Creating for the Purpose the Occidental Mindoro Special Economic Zone Authority, and Appropriating Funds Therefor has also been approved in the lower House.

Sato said that these ecozones will serve just like a magnet and will attract more businesses to invest in the province.
