Masbate Rep. Kho leads distribution of cash aid for families affected by habagat
Masbate Rep. Wilton T. Kho through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) spearheaded the distribution of cash assistance to families affected by strong winds of habagat season in Katipunan, Placer.
Kho turned over P5,000 for totally damaged houses and P3,000 for partially damaged houses to affected families.
“Expect that the office of Congressman Wilton T. Kho will always be at its best in taking care of the people of the 3rd district of Masbate,” the lawmaker’s office said.
Recently, the solon also led the turnover a one classroom building with wash area and comfort room in Calabad Elementary School.
“This project became tangible thru the unwavering support of the Office of Congressman Wilton T. Kho and thru comprehensive coordination with essential people in the government sector,” said the lawmaker’s office.
The event was also attended by Mayor Michael Demph Naga, School Principal Manuel Belarmino Jr., OIC Supervisor Zenaida Garbo, Branagay Captain of Calabad Marilou Bergantin and her barangay officials, non-teaching and teaching personnel of the school and other LGU officials.
“Time will come that schools will be given enough classrooms for our students who are the hope of our nation. Our service and love for the 3rd District of Masbate always emanates through our distinct projects and continuous improvement on livelihood and education,” said Kho’s office.
