COVID-19 recovery rate in Bicol hits 80.88%

The Bicol Region has posted 80.88% recovery rate from COVID-19, latest data from Department of Health show.

Data as of July 22 show that the total number of recoveries currently stood at 16,532. Of which, 195 are newly reported recoveries.

Meanwhile, the DOH also logged 59 new cases, pushing the region’s total to 20,439. There are 3,131 cases.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

CAM NORTE: 19 (32.20%)

The DOH said details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Death toll is currently at 776.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
