Palawan gets Johnson & Johnson vaccines

The Palawan provincial government announced that it has received one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccines which were allocated by the national government.

“Dumating ngayong araw, Hulyo 21 ang nasa 29,250 doses (5,850 vials) ng Johnson & Johnson’s (Janssen Pharmaceuticals) vaccines na inilaan sa lalawigan ng Palawan,” said the Capitol.

“Ayon sa Provincial Health Office, karamihan sa mga bakunang ito ay ipadadala sa bayan ng El Nido at Coron habang ang iba ay ilalaan sa vaccination roll-out sa ibang munisipyo na may mataas na kaso ng Covid-19,” it added.

The Janssen vaccines came from the World Health Organization-led COVAX facility.

These vaccines are allocated for individuals belonging to the A1 to A3 priority list.

“Sa datos naman ng PHO noong Hulyo 19,2021, umabot na sa mahigit 31,000 vaccinees ang nabakunahan ng 1st dose habang mahigit 15,000 naman ang nabakunahan ng 2nd dose,” said the Capitol.
