4 Bicol provinces receive J&J’s Janssen vaccines
Four provinces in Bicol received their share of one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccines from the national government.
“An expected 33,280 vials of Johnson and Johnson’s Janssen vaccines arrived at the Legazpi City Airport today, July 21, 2021,” said the Health department in Bicol
Each vial of Janssen contains 5 doses. This allows 166,400 individuals to be inoculated with the single dose vaccine.
“The vaccines are allocated to those belonging to the A2 Priority Group from the provinces of Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Sorsogon,” said the department.
Meanwhile, the allocation for Catanduanes and Masbate will be directly delivered from Manila to the island provinces.
“Upon delivery, the vaccines were transported to the DOH Bicol CHD Cold Storage Facility for inventory,” said the department.
