155 new coronavirus cases logged in Bicol

The Department of Health Development-Bicol reported 155 new coronavirus infections in the region.

Total coronavirus cases rose to 18,242 while active cases are now at 6,362 as of July 2.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Meanwhile, there are 181 new recoveries. Total recoveries climbed to 11,304.

Three patients, one each from Albay, Camarines Sur, and Sorsogon, passed away due to COVID-19. Death toll rose to 576.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
