Rep. Kho donates 100 sacks of cement to Gahit Elementary School
Masbate Rep. Wilton Kho has donated 100 sacks of cement to the Gahit Elementary School.
“Road widening is a mandatory construction as per Republic Act No. 917 which is an act to provide for an effective highway administration, modify apportionment of highway funds and give aid to the provinces, chartered cities, and municipalities in the construction of roads, streets, and for other purpose,” Kho’s office said.
“Schools, situated beside the national road, are affected by the road widening. Thus, immediate help should be given to renovate the affected area,” it added.
The said 100 sacks of cement was received by its teaching and non-teaching personnel through their principal Maam Leah Clemente.
“The said in-kind donation will be used for the construction of their concrete wall fences in front of their school,” the solon’s office said.
“We extend help to schools who need it the most especially if in terms of securing their vicinity. Our office will give our best to provide assistance because we serve not only for our constituents but also for the establishment that contributes to a person’s education,” it added.
