DOH confirms 220 COVID-19 infections in Bicol

The Department of Health confirmed 220 new coronavirus cases in Bicol, pushing the region’s total to 16,575.

Active cases rose to 5,831 as of June 22, representing 35.18% of the total cases.

The DOH said that details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act/

Meanwhile, the DOH logged 88 new recoveries and 3 fatalities. Total number of recoveries are now 10,229, while death toll climbed to 515.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
