DOH logs 54 new COVID-19 infections in Bicol

The Department of Health Development-Bicol reported a relatively lower COVID-19 infections in the region at 54.

The latest report brought the total COVID-19 cases in Bicol to 16,207 as of June 20. Active cases are at 5,590.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

ALBAY: 7 (12.97%)

CAM SUR: 47 (87.04%)

5 – Sagñay
4 – Naga City
4 – San Fernando
3 – Bato
2 – Calabanga

2 – Ocampo
2 – Pamplona
2 – Ragay
2 – San Jose

1 – Gainza
1 – Lagonoy
1 – Pasacao
1 – Sipocot

The DOH said that details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Meanwhile 14 new recoveries were reported. Two additional fatalities were also logged.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action,” the DOH reminded Bicolanos.

“Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” it added.
