Masbate City Council expresses sympathy to Absalon family

The 7th Masbate City Council expressed sympathy over the untimely death of a promising collegiate football player and his cousin in a landmine blast through a resolution.
The city council, during the 94th Regular Session, approved Proposed Resolution No. 043-2021, expressing profound sympathy and sincere condolences to Absalon family for their loss of Kieth Absalon.
Keith was footballer of Far Eastern University Tamaraw’s Men Football Team, a pride of Masbateno, for his untimely demise.
Aside from Keith, his cousin Nolven also died during the incident.
The New People’s Army already took full responsibility for the Masbate City IED explosion that killed the Absalon cousins and also wounded Nolven’s 16-year old son.
Meanwhile, the council also tackled Proposed Resolution No. 044-2021, Requesting the Hon. Sec. Arthur Tugade, Department of Transportation (DoTr) to allocate funds for the construction of a modern spacious and environmentally friendly with green architectural design of the proposed Masbate Airport at Barangay Asid.
