Bichara extends GCQ status in all LGUs in Albay, except Jovellar, Rapu-Rapu
Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara has extended the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) status in all the cities and municipalities in the province, except Jovellar and Rapu-Rapu until the end of the month.
In his Executive Order 17, Bichara said that the GCQ will last until June 30, 2021, without prejudice to their reclassification as may be warranted.
“All the cities and municipalities shall observe and strictly follow the protocols under the latest Omnibus Guidelines and Resolutions issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases corresponding to the declared community quarantine category,” the order read.
Bichara also ordered all the local chief executives to enact the necessary orders and/or ordinances to enforce protocols within their respective jurisdiction pursuant to this Order based on the IATF issuances.
“Failure to comply with the said directive shall be a ground for the filing of appropriate cases pursuant to Republic Act No. 11332 and other pertinent laws applicable,” he said.
The new order will take effect tomorrow, June 16, 2021.
