122 new COVID-19 infections logged in Bicol

The Department of Health Bicol Center for Health Development reported 122 new COVID-19 cases in the region.

The latest figure pushed the total COVID-19 cases in Bicol to 14,819 as of June 12. Active cases currently stood at 5,031.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said that details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Meanwhile, a total of 9,315 patients have now declared recovered after 101 patients were added to the list.

Death toll climbed to 469 after four patients succumbed to the disease.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
