Bicol’s total COVID-19 cases rise to 14,280

The Department of Health Center for Health Development Bicol has reported 179 new COVID-19 infections in the region.

The latest data pushed the region’s total to 14,280 COVID-19 cases as of June 9. Active cases on the other hand are now at 4,813.

The distribution of new cases is as follows:

The DOH said that details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that eleasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Meanwhile, 113 patients have recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 9,012.

On the other hand, the death toll rose to 455 after two fatalities were recorded.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
