DOH reports 202 new COVID-19 cases in Bicol

The Department of Health Bicol has reported 202 new COVID-19 infections, pushing the region’s total to13,429 cases.

Active cases as of June 6 are now at 4,321 representing 32.18% of the total cases.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said that the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Meanwhile, additional 101 patients have survived the dreaded disease. Total number of recoveries climbed to 8,663.

Meanwhile, one patient died. Total death toll is now at 445.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
