Naujan Mayor Mark Marcos said that he is set to be free from his mandatory isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.

Marcos said that he’ll end his 14-day mandatory quarantine on Tuesday.

“Sa isang araw ay makakalabas na ako dine sa kulungan kong are para muling makapagserbisyo sa ating mga mamamayan,” said the mayor.

Marcos said that he’s undergoing his quarantine at the Municipal Health Office.

“Kahirap din nga pala ng nakahawla ay. Mabuhay ang Araw ng Kalayaan!!!,” he said.

Marcos earlier received his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and he will still get the second dose.

Naujan Mayor Mark Marcos said that he will still get the second dose of his COVID-19 vaccine even though he tested positive for the viral illness.

“Kahit na ako’y nagpositive pa rin sa COVID-19 pagkatapos makatanggap ng first dose ng vaccine, hindi pa rin nawawala ang tiwala ko sa mga bakuna laban sa pandemyang virus na ito,” he said earlier.

Marcos said that as long as the country has yet to vaccinate the majority of the population, then there will always be fear and risk of getting COVID-19.

For his family, Marcos said that he will take the second dose.
