Robredo reiterates: No decision yet for 2022 elections
Vice President Leni Robredo reiterated that she has yet to decide whether or not to run as Camarines Sur governor in 2022 elections.
“Sa gitna ng maraming haka haka, uulitin ko lang ang ilang beses ko na ring sinabi: Wala pang desisyon na ako’y tatakbong gobernador,” she said.
The statement came after former CamSur Rep. Rolando Andaya claimed that the vice president is set to run for governor next year after she allegedly transferred her residence from Naga City.
“Nananatili akong bukas na maging kandidato sa pagka Pangulo,” Robredo said.
“Maraming konsiderasyon ang isinasaalang alang pero siguradong mag dedesisyon ako sa tamang panahon. Sinisiguro ko sa lahat na ipapaalam ko kung may narating nang desisyon,” she added.
Andaya flew to Davao yesterday together with former presidential bet Gilbert Teodoro to meet with Mayor Sara Duterte.
The younger Duterte is rumored to run as president, replacing her father Rodrigo Duterte.
Robredo is the head of opposition Liberal Party.
