Palawan SP urges DOTr to assign transportation marshalls in public vehicles
The Palawan Sangguniang Panlalawigan has urged the Transportation department to assign transportation marshalls in public vehicles to ensure the implementation of the health protocols.
The SP passed Resolution No. 189-21 titled: Requesting Secretary Arthur P. Tugade for the deployment of transportation marshalls assigned to strictly enforce the health and safety protocols in public transportation vehicles in the Province of Palawan.,
The said measure was authored by Board Member Cesareo R. Benedito, Jr.
“The intention of the proponent Mr. Chairman regarding to this proposed resolution that the implementation of health protocols must also be strictly implemented to all public transportation,” said Benedito.
“At dito po sa Palawan, as far as I recall, mayroong balita na mayroong pasahero papunta ng San Vicente… ‘yong kanyang antigen test ay parang pineke. So, with that Mr. Chair ay kailangan din talaga natin ng strict implementation ng health protocols doon sa ating mga public transportation” he added.
The copy of said resolution will be sent to the DOTr.
