66 new COVID-19 cases reported in Bicol region

The Department of Health Bicol Center for Health Development reported 66 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total cases in the region to 12,748.

Active cases as of June 3 are now at 3,966, representing 31.11%.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

ALBAY: 13 (19.70%)

CAM NORTE: 9 (13.64%)

SORSOGON: 17 (25.76%)

The DOH said that details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Meanwhile, the department also logged 114 recoveries, pushing the total number of recoveries to 8,363.

Meanwhile, the DOH also logged 4 deaths. Three of which came from Camarines Sur and the other one in Naga city. Total death toll is now at 419.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” the DOH said.
