178 new COVID-19 cases reported in Bicol

The Department of Health Development-Bicol reported 178 new COVID-19 infections.

The latest figure pushed the region’s total coronavirus cases to 12,682 as of June 2.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said that details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act.

Meanwhile, the DOH logged 152 recoveries, pushing the total number of recoveries to 8,249.

Six patients succumbed to the disease. Death toll rose to 415.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
