169 COVID-19 infections recorded in Bicol

The Department of Health has logged 169 new COVID-19 infections, pushing the total cases in 12,504.

Active cases as of June 1 are now 3,829, representing 31.97% of the total cases.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said that details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Meanwhile, 211 individuals have recovered from the disease. Total recoveries rose to 8,097.

Death toll remains 409 as of June 1.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
