DOH logs 171 COVID-19 infections in Bicol

The Department of Health reported 171 new COVID-19 infections in Bicol, pushing the region’s total cases to 11,354.

Active cases are now at 3,367 representing 29.63 of the total cases.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

The DOH logged 72 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 7,614.

Three patients were added to the list of death toll, which is now at 383.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” the DOH said.
