Bicol’s COVID-19 cases rise to 11,193

The cumulative coronavirus disease cases in Bicol Region have surged past the 11,000 mark.

The Health department logged 233 new cases as of May 25. Active cases are now at 3,271.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act.

The DOH reported 86 new recoveries. Total number of recoveries rose to 7,542.

Meanwhile, four individuals passed away due to the disease, pushing the death toll to 380.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
