COVID-19 cases in Bicol rise to 10,963

The total coronavirus disease cases in Bicol is now close to 11,000 after the Health department logged 220 new infections.

Total cumulative cases in Bicol climbed to 10,963 as of Mat 24 while active cases are now at 3,131.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

The DOH said that details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Meanwhile, 103 individuals recovered from the disease, pushing the total number of recoveries to 7,456. Death toll remains 376.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” said the DOH.
