Naujan Mayor Mark Marcos announced that the Barangay Laguna will be placed under two-week strict lockdown amid the surge of COVID-19 cases in the said barangay.

“Dahil labindalawang (12) mamamayan ng Laguna ang natest na positive sa COVID-19, tatlo (3) dito ang reinfection, isasailalim sa dalawang (2) linggong Critical Zone Lockdown ang naturang barangay simula Mayo 25, 2021,” the mayor said.

Marcos said that out of 46 individuals tested, 12 turned out to be positive.

“Ginawa ang testing bunsod ng impormasyong ating natanggap mula sa Department of Health (DOH)-MiMaRoPa Region tungkol sa isa nating kababayang taga-Laguna na namatay noong Marso 2021 at napag-alamang dinapuan ng COVID-19 UK Variant ayon sa DOH-MiMaRoPa,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the mayor urged the residents to strictly follow health protocols to prevent the spread of the virus.

“Mag-ingat po tayong lahat at patuloy na sumunod sa mga tagubilin ng pamahalaan laban sa COVID-19. MAGPABAKUNA NA,” he said.
