Kanin is not life? Brooke’s Point Councilor Ton Abengoza shares his experience on his no-rice diet

Brooke’s Point Councilor Ton Abengoza has lost a lot of kilos and inches since going on a diet one and a half years ago and shared his secret: no rice.

In a Facebook post, Abengoza said he has been getting questions about his diet, so he decided to share it.

Previously, he could eat half of the rice in their rice cooker in one meal.

But after saying enough is enough, he cut it down to one cup of rice per meal for two months.

Then he took the drastic step of cutting out rice altogether.

It took him willpower, determination, and discipline, he said.

He survived thanks to crackers, cucumbers, and coffee without sugar and creamer.

He also avoided softdrinks and juices, bread, rootcrops, fruits high in sugar, candies and other sweets, pasta, and 3-in-1 coffee.

His sacrifices were rewarded with a 15 kilogram weight loss, and his waistline went down to 33 inches from 36 inches.

He has been on his no rice diet for 1.5 years and feels great, he added.

We guess he can say that in his case, kanin is not life!

Good question!

Dati half ng rice cooker akin, 1/4 sa wife ko. Then i decided to say to myself:

‘Enough is enough’!

So i began 1 cup of rice every meal for 2 months.

Then followed the greatest task & challenge:

NO RICE DIET!

Grabe ang reaction ng katawan ko on the first week!

Nanginginig sa gutom at sumasakit ang ulo! But na-survive ko ang mga ito dahil sa 3 factors na ito:

1. Will power

2. Determination.

And the most crucial & deciding factor…

3. DISCIPLINE!

And it was rewarding indeed coz in just 7 days i lost 10 kilos!

How i survive?

Thanks toSkyflakes, Pipino at coffee without sugar & creamer. Everytime na magutom ako, ito ang pamatid gutom ko!

I lost 15 kgs!

From 98 kgs to 83 kgs now.

Waistline:

From 36″ to 33″!

I’m now on my 1 year & 6 months on “No Rice Diet” and what a great feeling indeed!
