The Palawan Capitol said that around 7,600 medical frontliners have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Capitol said that this translates to more than 80% of the medical frontliners belonging to the A1 category.

“Majority po ng ating mga A1 [category] ay nabigyan na ng 2nd dose po, so nasa more or less 80% na po tayo with the 2nd dose…Kasi nasa 9,500 medical frontliners ang under ng A1 population… Ngayon po yung ating nga munisipyo po ay tuluy-tuloy nang nagbabakuna for A2 category [Senior Citizens] and hopefully ay matapos na nila kaagad ‘yun para makapag-proceed naman sa A3 population [persons with comorbidities] natin…”, Acting Provincial Health Officer Dr. Faye Labrador explained.

Labrador also said that there are a lot of senior citizens from A3 category who got themselves vaccinated.

” said Labrador.

“With the completion ng kanilang doses, so far mas maganda ang response ng ating mga frontliners…
