A true isko! Camarines Sur Rep. Gabriel Bordado Jr. backs institutionalizing UP-DND accord
One of the first things that Camarines Sur Rep. Gabriel Bordado Jr. did when Congress resumed session is to support the state university.
In a Facebook post, Bordado said that he delivered his manifestation on the accord between the University of the Philippine and Department of National Defense that prevents the military from entering the campus without permission.
Bordado backs the proposal to institutionalize this agreement, which the DND sought to strike down.
As a product of UP himself, he said the unilateral termination of heh accord was dangerous and totally unnecessary.
The deal should be made permanent and part of the UP charter, he said.
He is a true isko!
“BACK TO CONGRESS–VIA ZOOM ANEW: Today, we will resume the second session of the 18th Congress. Wish me luck, my dear FB friends. Thank you.
I just delivered my manifestation on the UP-DND accord. I informed the Committee on Higher and Technical Education that I studied at UP, both in Los Banos and in Diliman, for almost seven years. I can say with certainty that the unilateral termination of the UP-DND accord is quite dangerous and, as pointed out by UP President Danilo Concepcion himself, ‘totally unnecessary.’ I am, therefore, fully supporting the institutionalization of the UP-DND accord by amending the UP charter.
#DefendUP,” Bordado posted.
