Masbate Board Member Jason Arevalo gets surprise lechon for bday
Masbate Board Member Jason Arevalo doesn’t really throw grand parties on his birthday,
In a Facebook post, Arevalo said he usually spends his special day visiting a church and having a meal with his family or household.
He prefers to save the money for a party for his kids’ schooling and to donate to the less fortunate.
But he still got something extra special on his birthday this year.
He was gifted with a lechon by his friends.
He was truly grateful for it and his household and neighbors would have something to feast on, he said.
What would have made his birthday complete was a cake made of rice with a candle, he joked.
Who wants to party like you know who?
“For most of my adult life, i don’t really throw a party on my birthday. A visit to the church and a simple meal with family and household are more than enough. Not that Im not happy on my big day. Its just that I always save one half of what Im supposed to spend for a party for my kids’ schooling and the other half I would donate to less fortunate ones in my District.
But again, God’s grace comes as a surprise. I got a lechon for my birthday!
Thank you so much, Manoy Mayor Romeo Dela Rosa and Manay Vice Mayor Marites Dela Rosa! Salamat po gayud sa pagpalangga kag pagdumdum! May God bless you both always and keep your family and loved ones from harm.
Salamat, salamat po! Now my household, my men and neighbors can have something to pig out later!
Rice cake with a candle na lang ang kulang. Hehe,” Arevalo posted.
