DOH logs 114 new COVID-19 cases in Bicol

The Department of Health Development-Bicol reported 114 new COVID-19 cases in the region, bringing the total coronavirus disease cases to 9,259.

Active cases as of May 11 are now at 2,793 representing 30.19% of the total cases.

The distribution of newly reported cases is as follows:

Dtails of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs, the DOH said.

It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Meanwhile, 62 new recoveries were reported, pushing the total number of recoveries to 6,134.

Death toll due to the disease remains at 323.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action,” said the Health department.

“Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” it added.
