Gov. Dolor swears in new IP representative to Sanggunian
Oriental Mindoro Governor Humerlito Dolor has sworn in the representative of indigenous peoples as the newest member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
“Congratulations to Hon. Ahop R. Agate Officially Inducted as the Indigenous People Mandatory Representative for our Sangguniang Panlalawigan,” Dolor said.
“You will be the Bridge of our Kababayans specifically for the 8 Mangyan Tribes here in our Province Oriental Mindoro Namely: Iraya, Alangan, Tadyawan, Tawbuid (called Batangan by lowlanders on the west of the island), Buhid, and Hanunoo, Bangon and Ratagnon,” he added.
The oath taking was held at the Tamaraw Hall Provincial Capitol Complex.
Meanwhile, Dolor also assured IPs in the province that he will support them to achieve their dreams.
“Sa lahat po ng katutubong naririto, katuwang nyo po si #GovBonzDolor sa pagtupad ng ating pinag-isang Pangarap na ang mga Katutubo bilang kabahagi ng Lipunang Mindoreño ay magkaroon ng malaking puwang sa ating pag-ukit sa isang Pamahalaang Makatao, may Malasakit at may Pagmamahal sa Ordinaryong Mamamayan. Ang inyo pong Gobernador ay walang Pera, ngunit Malaki ang PUSO ? para sa Mamamayang Mindoreños,” he said.
