Gov. Villafuerte issues order on stringent implementation of MGCQ in CamSur
Camarines Sur Governor Migz Villafuerte has issued an executive order on the establishment of stringent guidelines for the implementation of modified general community quarantine in the province.
Under Executive Order No. 05, local Chief Executives shall have the authority to enforce granular lockdown in geographical units such as, but not limited to, houses, sitio, purok, or barangays, with respect to the risk and current situation in their respective areas,
“Areas in the LGUs shall be categorized into four (4) zoning classifications: (1) Critical Zone, (2) Containment Zone, (3) Buffer Zone, and (4) Areas Outside Buffer Zone,” the order read.
“All geographical units under the different zoning classifications shall be placed under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ), General Community Quarantine (GCQ), and Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ), respectively,” it added.
Meanwhile, a house may be placed under granular lockdown for 14 days when at least one case of either suspect, probable, or confirmed COVID 19 is present, provided however that a minimum radius of 25 meters from the unit shall be implemented and Enhanced Community Quarantine shall be imposed.
Meanwhile, the order also stated that everybody is enjoined to observe curfew from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
“Individuals who are attending or experiencing emergency conditions that require immediate attention shall be considered exempt from curfew for medical and humanitarian reasons,” the order read.
