The Department of Health Bicol Center for Health Development and the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 5 have inked an agreement to boost the province’s campaign against COVID-19.
The two agencies held a Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the On The Road Bandillo yesterday, April 28. The Bandillo is an integration of BIDA Solusyon Plus and Resbakuna Campaign of DOH and Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan of BFP.
During the ceremonial signing, DOH Bicol Regional Director Dr. Ernie V. Vera noted the increasing number of cases in Bicol Region and the importance of cooperation of every Bicolano in the continuous fight against COVID-19.
RD Vera also thanked the BFP for their willingness to assist in the advocacy campaign.
On the other hand, BFP 5 Regional Director F/SSUPT. Renato B. Capuz explained their Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan program and expressed their eagerness to contribute to the campaigns of DOH amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Gusto naming tumulong, kaya maraming salamat sa opportunity na ito upang mas maka-contribute kami sa patuloy nating laban kontra COVID-19 dito sa Bicol. Sa aming program na Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan nais rin namin na ligtas ang pamayanan sa COVID-19,” RD Capuz said.
Through this partnership, firetrucks of BFP in all parts of the region will make rounds to their respective areas to broadcast the BIDA Solusyon Plus and Resbakuna campaign.
The partnership aims to empower every Bicolano to take an active role in the fight against COVID-19 by following the Minimum Public Health Standards and supporting the COVID-19 vaccination program.
