Catanduanes Gov. Boboy Cua saves a sea turtle
Catanduanes Gov. Boboy Cua has come to aid of a turtle who needed to return to its home.
Cua, in a Facebook post, shared that a constituent sought his assistance about an Olive Marine Ridley Turtle that needed to be marked and returned to its natural habitat.
The turtle was caught by a resident of Carorian, Bato.
Cua said he got in touch with the Environment Department for the geo-tagging of the turtle and its release in Virac.
He also took the opportunity to remind the people of the province that Catanduanes has a Save our Sea Turles ordinance that encourages those who would catch the turtles to bring these to the capitol so that they could be tagged and brought to where they should be.
Catanduanes is a safe space for the turtles!
“SAVE OUR SEA TURTLES.
