Active COVID-19 cases in Bicol now at 1,052

Active COVID-19 cases in Bicol Region have surged past the 1000 mark today as the Department of Health Bicol reported 111 new cases.

Active cases in Bicol are now 1,052. Total cumulative cases as of April 15 rose to 6,329.

The distribution of new cases is as follows:

The DOH said that the details of newly reported cases are forwarded to concerned Provincial/City/Hospital Epidemiology and Surveillance Units (ESUs) and LGUs.
It added that releasing of personal information of patients is governed by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act (R.A. 10173).

Meanwhile, total number of recoveries are now 5,025 while death toll climbed to 252.

“The fight against COVID-19 rests primarily in each individual action,” the DOH said.

“Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus,” it added.
