VP Robredo looks for volunteer doctors and phone operators to help the sick

0

Vice President Leni Robredo has been moved to action by the many messages and stories about people losing loved ones and looking for medical care for their family members who are sick.

In a Facebook post, Robredo said she is looking for volunteer doctors and telephone operators for an initiative to help those who cannot afford medical care, and to prevent people from lining up outside hospitals.

The doctors would be for the Bayaniahn e-Konsulta, where they would do phone consultations for outpatient cases in Metro Manila and surrounding areas covered by the enhanced community quarantine.

The phone volunteers would receive and process requests concerning outpatient cases and match them with volunteer doctors.

Robredo said she and her staff could not increase the number of hospital beds, build field hospitals, or ensure the confinement of those who need it.

There have also been concerns that her office would be blamed if it would not be able to provide enough help.

But she said that if they would be able to help and save a life, they should do all they could.

This is why she is pursuing this project that would need volunteers and doctors, she said.

If you want to help, let the VP know!

“CALL FOR VOLUNTEER DOCTORS and TELEPHONE OPERATORS

Note: This is also open to those living in the provinces as all the work may be done at home.

Kung makakatulong tayo, at alam natin in our heart of hearts na wala tayong ibang intensyon kundi tumulong, bakit hindi natin itutuloy?

So here we are now.
